We have a position available for an enthusiastic and passionate optometrist keen to join a long established independent practice. Although ideally, a full-time position, part-time will be considered.

This role has the bonus of no weekend work and future partnership opportunities!

You will be joining a clinically focused practice with a strong emphasis on contact lenses, diabetic retinal screening and myopia control. An interest in RGP's and keratoconus would be a benefit. The practice is well equipped with an OCT, retinal cameras, SMap for scleral fittings, dry eye analysis, Medmont field screener and a corneal topographer and we are well supported by two dispensing opticians.

You will work alongside two experienced optometrists who can provide support if needed. Generally 45min appointment times.

Precision Optical, based in Mt Eden, Auckland, is seeking an experienced Optical Technician to join our team in a full-time capacity.

As an Optical Technician, you will be responsible for a range of tasks related to quality control, lens processing and assembly.
The ideal candidate will have experience in most of the following areas: checking lenses/glasses in and out for quality control, tracing and blocking, operating edging machines, tinting lenses and rimless assembly.

Precision Optical is the contracted fitting lab for Hoya.

Are you a motivated person looking for a new opportunity? We have a position for a Dispensing Optician, or trainee who we would support to train and qualify through ACOD.

You will have technical aptitude, be able to work methodically and have a natural ability to communicate with people from all walks of life. The ability to work independently and with a team, and work to a high standard is vital. Our patient base is varied, and we dispense to a wide age range including many children, so you will have a variety of dispensing work. We have a dynamic range of frames and sunglasses and dispensing is an integral part of the experience we provide.
